Jeff, I have two Yamaha Grizzlys - 400s that are '01s (if I can remember the year correctly), never had anything go wrong with them. We use them every season for deer hunting. I've had them in mud, snow, rain, heat...they work fine, last long time. I think the only thing I ever had to replace were the seats. My brother had them uncovered in the sun fora summer and the seats cracked. They are now stored and covered in a barn. I've used them out of state as well.My buddy owns an 08 Sportsman 500. It's a nice quad. I've been looking into the Yamaha Grizzly 550.http://www.yamaha-mo...09/0/specs.aspxAt this rate it'll be a 2010 model that I get...nothing like our budget crisis to remove money from our pocket. Nothing like having a rear locker and electronic power steering!

I did the...best thing was the heelclicker clutch kit. Man, what a difference in the way it runs. You can customize it for the way you ride, either aggresive or hunting[slow].
