I hope you get one but deer have the additional sense we lack and they know when deer season is and change their normal habits.Insert lyrics from the "The Impossible Dream" here:To dream the impossible dreamTo fight the unbeatable foeTo bear with unbearable sorrowTo run where the brave dare not goTo right the unrightable wrongTo love pure and chaste from afarTo try when your arms are too wearyTo reach the unreachable starThis is my questTo follow that starNo matter how hopelessNo matter how farWell you get my drift. I pulling for you.I have gone out scouting the area three times in the last 2 weeks and have seen 2 monster 4x4's (running together) and one nice 3x3. Hopefully the bow hunters won't get them and they are still around on opening day.

my recollection of B zone deer tags is that you can hunt any of the B zones if you have a B tag.I was fortunate enough to have hunted B zones especially West of Corning to Lake Shasta Area. There is plenty of BLM land and if your lucky enough to have drawn a Bear tag your odds are good to get 2 big game animals.I have pulled a good # of deer and 2 bears out of that area over the last dozen years .GOOD LUCK.I would be there myself but had the great fortune of having moved to Idaho!I also have a B-Zone tag. This will be my first year hunting for deer in California. I am also from Nevada. My nephew just turned 12 and has an A-Zone tag. Any suggestions? If you do not have anyone to go with in B-Zone this year maybe we can meet up? I live in Livermore.

Hey John,That is one of my favourite songs. It is from the Man of La Mancha play. Another of my favourites.I hope you get one but deer have the additional sense we lack and they know when deer season is and change their normal habits.Insert lyrics from the "The Impossible Dream" here:To dream the impossible dreamTo fight the unbeatable foeTo bear with unbearable sorrowTo run where the brave dare not goTo right the unrightable wrongTo love pure and chaste from afarTo try when your arms are too wearyTo reach the unreachable starThis is my questTo follow that starNo matter how hopelessNo matter how farWell you get my drift. Well Ben, you should give deer hunting a try but the last week of the season can be the most difficult unless you have access to private land. Hunting deer in California has gotten to frustrating to say the least. I sort of miss it but then I can't handle the walking part anymore. Good luck to all of you who are going.I've never been deer hunting but I'm thinking about hunting the last week of the season just for fun. We'll see.
