My front porch at the cabin is about 6 feet deep. The bird feeder is about 10 feet from the porch. I put the game cam on one of the supports for the roof on the porch and got the following pictures. All the same animal, but he is so pretty I thought you would enjoy the pictures. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I saw a forked horn walking down the street near my house last week in velvet. I'm pretty sure it was the same one I saw last night eating my neighbors roses and no velvet.

This fellow, and his buddies, a big 4 point and a big forked horn, were in velvet just two weeks ago. But it's all gone now.

Not this year as I'm hunting X-1 zone. Hopefully he will be around next year, as I can't be so lucky to be drawn two years in a row.

Yep, just do like Shooterjohn said, just ROPE him inside your cabin. I hear they calm right down when roped inside. Great pictures, how big are his chances of last until next year? Bigger, I'll bet if you rope him. Good luck, whatever you decide.

Probably a great chance of making it to next year. We don't allow any shooting in the camp boundries, and all the land to the back of the camp, where he is living, is all private land and behind locked gates. Most of the folks that do hunt back there don't hunt that close to camp. They are several miles away. So, he, along with his buddies, may well be around for next year.

Yea, I got one more picture of the bear about a week and a half after the ones I posted. He is also leaving tracks around almost every day. Actually, there are at least 2 bears roaming the camp, based on the tracks.
