Have you guys seen the new XP3 bullet yet? If it does what they say I am going to buy some when it becomes available to us reloaders.

Are those the ones for the elephants? I shoot the winchester supreme and I love them I get good groups and have never had a problem (knock on wood) but they are a little on the spendy side.

They advertise they are for thin and thick skinned animals and have a 2 stage expansion. I am reading this from the 2006 Winchester Product Guide.http://winchester.co...XP3product.aspx

Well, since Winchester is going out of business, it will be the disappearing bullet.

So is just that one division going under or the whole kit-n-kaboodle? (how ever that's spelled!!)

First off, I'm new here. I am looking to learn about coyote hunting so I've been reading and getting info; looks to be a good site. Now with that said; those Winchester bullets, from what little they tell you on the site, don't look to be any different than the Nosler Accubond or the Hornady Interbond. As far as 2 stage expansion; the pictures didn't show me anthing different than what other bonded core bullets looked like after expansion. I think its just a marketing tool IMHO.I'm sure they are good bullets though; and I would have to reload them since my rifle doesn't like Winchester ammo.

I agree we need lion tags to help protect the deer herds (oh yea and the bicyclists and dog walkers down here in southern) My buddy had to give one a help up over a hill that was stalking me up a canyon that I was walking up towards him while tryting to drive deer up to him a couple of years ago. I thought he was just screwing around until we walked back down the canyon and I saw the tracks in my tracks. No way that sucker didn't smell me he/she just wasn't scared of me. It couldn't have been more than 400yds. behind me when he started yelling and shooting. I turned and was was looking for deer and never even saw it.
If it flies it dies, If it runs its done, Hook'it, snag'it, gig'it, just kill itFire up the grill cause deer huntin ain't catch and releaseI dig hot chicks in camo bikini's with guns in their hands.

I was under the impression that doe tags were regulated by each county. Besides, if deer herd numbers are down thinning out the does isn't going to help matters any.
