I had started a thread about what kind of camera to pick up. After reading all the posts, it seemed that the Moultrie 4.0, on sale, or rather close out, at Wally's was the way to go, so I picked one up. I was up at my cabin last week and got the camera set up by fastening it to a 4x4 that is one of the back support posts of my deck. With that, I figured I may have some interesting pictures. Didn't have much chance to down load all the pics, but did get these. Also got some deer, but were just too dark to see what they were.The first one is of a couple of jacks that just happened to stop in my front yard just before dark. Shot one, and the other stopped to see what was wrong with his buddy and why he was laying there and kicking so much. I showed him first hand what the problem with his buddy. Then I had this visitor. If you compare the bush behind me, and then behind the visitor you can get a real good idea of the size. He hung around quite awhile.

Braz, nice pics. Now all you need is coyotes, bobcats and lions, in your backyard. Just a thought.

Two weeks ago I had a bobcat on my front porch, and I have killed a coyote from the doorway. Three weeks ago, a neighbor, about 4-500 yards away, over a small hill, found large lion tracks across the road from his house heading my way. Who knows what wanders about in the dark.

Looks like that bear was sampling bunny for dinner.. Nice healthy looking bugger for sure

Braz you need to hang a jack up in front of the camera, ans see what comes in

The only animals i get on my camera are skunks and lots of them. I think that bear liked the rabbit dinner you left for it.

According to the time on the camera, that bear is there in less than 1 1/2 hour after dinner was served. He could have been in the area before the rabbits were shot. Just something to think about.Nice pictures. Sure does add another major step to predator hunting. Nice addition, I'd say.

Actually, he was there the next day. Look at the date too. I got nothing the first night. The following night I got a big, yellow ferral cat. Need to take my trap up there and catch that thing. He is probably doing a lot of damage to the quail.

See the 4th pic the one that says 10:15 it looks like it had caught another critters eyes glowing at the 10 o'clock position behind the bears back.. That could be that Ferrel cat..lol

I've heard of hanging a pork chop around your neck, but in this case I'd recommend "rabbit".

I like The bear pics to so where is your cabin located

The cabin is out East of Redding about 40 miles. Just before you get to the summit of Hatchet Mountain on Highway 299E, about 12 miles before you get to Burney.(About 4 miles from where that lion almost ate up a couple of our members. )

And that is one STEEP drop down into Burney, especially in a big rig!!!
