I'm buying a new Benili Ultra Light in 20 gag. I have not seen one in a store, where to go to get a good deal? As you know I live in Southern CA.. Any ideas? I always just walk in, buy it and wait.. Never had to order something?

The first places online that I shop are:1. www.budsgunshop.com (I have bought several firearms through them without a hitch. Great prices as well)2. www.gunbroker.com (you are shopping among tons of dealers here)

I've gotten some great deals at Buds as well. And I've heard that Gunbroker dealers are being "recommended" to not deal with CA anymore since the new FFL registration started. But I haven't personally dealt with this, so I'm not sure.

You HAVE to have a FFL to ship it to. If it's worth the drive, I have a guy here in Bakersfield that will do transfers REAL CHEAP!PM me if interested. If too far, start hittin the internet for FFL's near you. Try this: Gunbroker FFL list

Cant you have it shipped to a local gun shop in your area? I have never done it but thought that was all there was to it.

A lot of local gun shops give you flack for not ordering or buying the gun through them in the first place. They want to get there markup. I know the two main shops here charge around $100 (including DROS) for a transfer, but I'm pretty sure IF they can buy the firearm themselves, they want you to purchase it through them. That's why it's good to find a Kitchen Table FFL. There overhead is much less and sometimes you find one that charges next to nothing. ;)

The guy by me wants 10% plus the $25 dollar transfer fee. Now if you’re buying an everyday rifle that could on be a few bucks.. However I'm buying a 1300+ Shotgun.. Kind of takes the "wholesale" out of it!

10%!! Wow! That's excessive. My local gun shops charge $75 + DROS and that is too much. Shop around, hopefully there is someone else in the area.

I moved this to the shotgun area. It's getting hard to find an FFL that doesn't rape you with fees for buying a firearm through someone besides them.

What's this!?! Party at Camoghost's River house Labor Day weekend! Have shotgun, will travel! Have boat too, what river ya talkin about? ;)Man, opening day Dove hunting is just a BLAST!! I can't wait til Sept 1st. I was talking with my Bro-in-law a couple weeks ago about it. The early morning light coming up, it's like a kid waiting for Disneyland to open. Birds are just cruising around without a care in the world. Waiting for the official sunrise time (6:29 a.m in Bakersfield this year), but then hearing shotguns going off all around like 5-10 minutes before. :) Ahh good times!

We can go there, use your shotgun, then we can go up to Northern Nevada to where antelope and large coyotes are on my land :signgreatreport3kg: Spend a couple days there and come back.Darren

Also try here www.gunsamerica.com . I have bought several weapons from different vendors on GA.com and have had them shipped to an FFL. Never had any problems at all. Just make sure that you are dealing with an FFL holder on the other end not a private party. Just makes for an easier and safer transaction.

Thank you.. I just wonder about the recoil because it only weighs about 5lbs.. But it is only a 20gag. They (Benelli) say the recoil is reduced and smooth.. I will find out at Prado this weekend, going to shoot some clays..
