Went out today to shoot squirrels. Just min. after shooting a squirrel with the 17HMR I notice a yote head peering over the levey. Figuring it's to far for the 17 I switch to the 204 look up expecting him to be gone with all the movement and now he's in full view standing broadside. I put the Muller dot on his shoulder and touched off the round. Bang, womp and I saw fur fly. I knew I hit him in the shoulder I saw the bullet impact and he dropped off the back side of the levee. The 32g. Hornady did a neat clean job. the entry wound was only visible with a quarter sizes blood spot. There was no exit wound. Laserd to my truck was 165 yds. I didn't think I could cimb into the ditch and get out. Sooooo I called my son Sam. Of course he's with his girlfriend. I let him know I need his help and sure enough he and Gina drive out to help the old man. He's a good kid.Total for two hrs 3 squirrels and one young male yote. He's been skinned salted and is drying. I'll shipe the hide to Fox USA. this week.Sam and sad GenaPosted ImageSam Pop and yotePosted ImageSam being the retriever.Posted ImageThe benchPosted Image.204 does it's job.Posted Image

Hmm, I cant take my eyes off two paticular items in that first picture. All I can say is nice
Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

Steve, I can see why your son Sam isn't out hunting, I wouldn't leave her home either! I'd use a term from deer hunting but Capitol sort of beat me to it! B)

Nice going  Hog what make is you 204 ?
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Ron good to see you on CPC. I'm holding off on Vick's orchard until he can mow. I've been by several times doing invantory but have not shot there this yr. When you see Vick let him know his squirrels days are limited. Keep me posted on how you shoot the 204.

Started him with a BB gun in the backyard on cans small birds, wire rats. Only once cost me $600+ to replace a neighbors double paned gas filled sliding glass door. Worth every penny. He's hooked on ducks and that "other" cat. :) Training is an on going process.
