As I got about 50 yds inside the gate, this yote got a bad case of the stupids. It crossed the drive, went about a hundred yds out in the pasture and started circling. B) Maybe I drove between it and another yote, would it stop in plain site and easy range to try to entice another yote to come on across? :D Maybe it's ESP receptor detected that I got in about 1:00 AM and then got up early to go squirrel shooting, hence I was still in stupid mode. (left my portable bench and hearing protectors at home. My partner had brought a spare bench, and I had earplugs in the Bronco.) :P Well, anyway I got a pretty good camera shot.Posted ImageOh, the squirrel shooting was mediocre for numbers but, a great cure for cabin fever. Took some with both the Contender 14" barrel for 17 HM2 and the 10" barrel for 17 HMR. Then the 223 700 Rem came out and we extended the range some.Bright sun, green pastures, the smell of burnt powder and red mist - that's a health food cocktail for us.A17Shooter

neat , nice picture.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Saw a nice looking coyote yesterday off the road. I don't carry a camera with me, but she was about 20 yards from the road. Too bad the property is owned by my Uncle Sam and can't get access ;)..... (Port Chicago Ammo Depot)

Joel they might get a little up tight if you started shooting there.

Yeah... Since the base closed, they made the area a Tule Elk Preserve, I'd really be in trouble ;)

Didn't they just relocate all those elk about two weeks ago? Or was that only from the Concord Weapons Station? I've seen those elk roaming around in their new home, they haven't wandered far.

Yeah, they shot nets from helecopters at the poor little elk and then transported them up near Clear Lake onto public land. It was all over the news for a couple of days.
