I filmed this at Sac Valley this past weekend and my nephew did the shooting. The wind was brutal as you can see.The AR15 is a 6.5 Grendel, 24" JP upper, 22x NightForce, using 123 Scenars bullets. Actually the ammo is from a newbie reloader (Garrett) that started it about two weeks ago. We tested the first batch on paper the week before and most holes were touching at 100 yards. As some of you may know the chickens are supposed to be on the 200 meter rail. We moved or found them :smiley_turkey_pop_up_log: at the 500 meter rail. You could barely see em with the naked eye.Sac Valley Silhouttes Blasting
Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

Good shooting...I thought the rams were at 550 not 500....I love it out there, just shot the sihouttles a few weeks back...The 308 makes quick work of the rams...

well they are measured in meters out there. so the rams are at 500 meters which is about 547 yards

When isn't it out there...Nice shooting. Are they AR friendly out there? I live only 10-15 minutes away from there but I've only been out there once. I usually setup at my place - but it's getting tougher to anymore...

I've shot AR's out there many, many times and have never had one issue.

Good to hear. I just got off the phone from placing my order for my camo upper and matching furniture.I'll probably want to take it out there once it's all built. :1106:
