We started hunting friday night around one, or saturday morning moreover. We hunted on about 4 hours of sleep all put togther until sunday and i got my first coyote. Gary called it in for me and then i called in a bobcat for him that he killed. It was a slow weekend with a lot of talking yotes, but very difficult to get them to come in. Our persistancy paid off. We also took about 13 jackrabbits including one at about 165 yrds. with my 30-06 and 125 gr bullet. I couldn't resist! I am trying to post the pictures, but i can't seem to do it. They were sent to me in an email. How do i post them?

Awesome! You have to first post them through a place such as photobucket, copy the address to where it is located and then you can get them added here.If all else fails you can e-mail them to me and I can post em for ya.How did the rest of the club do?

Congratulations on your first coyote. Nice that you guys got a bobcat too. Sounds like a good weekend overall.

Thanks Heath. I shot the coyote and Gary shot the bobcat. We called them in for one another. That was my first yote and my first jackrabbit! It was also the first time i called in a bobcat. We had a good time, but we also hunted very very hard. I bet that we made at least thirty stands, and we only saw a few yotes. We tried everything that you can think of to call them in, but they were educated i think. That is our buddy Mike that fell asleep so we gave him a hard time. He slept right through me howling right next to him, and my howler can make your ears ring! In his defense we slept for about 15 minutes in the first 48 hours or so and that was towards the end of those 48 hours. After that we maybe slept for four hours and hunted hard for every waking moment with the exception of when we took a 2 hour break to knock out some jackrabbits.

Thanks, I'm not sure actually, they knew the spots and took me. I am from Indiana and that was the first time i went to the desert.

Thats realy great. feels good don' :) t it
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

No, but we were supposed to and i really don't know. We got out where there weren't any street signs and it all looks the same. The freeways are just a bunch of numbers when you come from a small city where there is only one! It is called an expressway and isn't even as big a these out here. It's really easy for me to get lost, and that's why it was a good thing he was driving and Gary was directing.

Thats realy great. feels good don' :) t it

It sure does after all the yotes i have called in over the years while turkey hunting or deer hunting or even squirrel hunting and all on accident to finally take one.

No the skin was pretty damaged and so i took the head to get a western mount and split the tail off the bone and am treating that myself along with the coyote tail since it was my first one.
