A group of turkeys like that is called a "rafter" of turkeys. Most think it's a flock. I didn't really give a flock until I was corrected on it once by a F&G Biologist!

I attended a sunrise Easter church service today held at the cemetery on Greenback near I-80. Shortly after dawn the service was interrupted for me by the gobble of turkeys. Pretty soon out from the head stones wondered a very nice pair of bearded toms. They headed for the grassy field of the un-kept portion of the cemetery. By the time coffee and donuts were served the toms had moved off and were displaying and gobbling for some hens. Someone should really figure out how to do urban hunting. I wonder what camo you'd use with head stones or maybe rose bushes?

Just write your name on your gray T-shirt and sit quietly! That sounds a lot easier than the foam head stone costume I had in mind.

No, the property I was hoping to hunt again as I'd hunted there before is now off limits. Well at least until the owners make a final decision. :signgreatreport3kg:

I should say the person I knew is no longer there. But that the new person was receptive to the idea he just need to get permission. It's my own fault for waiting till the last moment to check. I gave them a copy of the agreement I had with the signed land use, so I can't believe there'd be a major change. Plus I use the property as airgun only so that helped the first time.
