My new Benelli got in today. I could have had it as early as Thursday but UPS took forever to deliver it! This thing is sweet. I can't wait to put some shells through it! Some unlucky coyote is going to meet the ugly end of this thing very soon! (Super Black Eagle II, #10101, 28 inch)

Heath- it is a snap to put together. I was a bit worried but it is super quick and easy. I was almost ready to jump in the truck and drive 45 minutes to some BLM land just so I could shoot it tonight. Lucky for me I don't have any good shells for it yet! (if I had them I think I'd be out in the desert right now) Any thoughts on what would be a good brand/type of shells to pick up for the first shots? I am thinking of taking it out on Wednesday to go calling. (not sure where I am going yet, so may need to use the Tikka instead, but I will end up shooting the Benelli at least) Does Walmart carry anything that would be decent for coyote? There is a gun store local, they might have more stuff than walmart although the last time I went in there they were ALL OUT of 22-250 ammo. (yeah, they suck) Also, I picked up my Stag lower for my future AR build!

I doubt you'll find any 3 1/2" stuff at a Wal-Mart in CA. I order mine online.Since I will be hunting in the Condor zone I am going to try Dead Coyote until the DFG releases their "approved" list and I can buy approved shot for reloading.I am going to try #4 buck for my Condor free hunting areas.

Only when I don't have anything left. It will do the job, but there just isn't enough pellets flying to make me happy.

Maybe I'll try to find some beefy turkey shot at the gun shot. (3.5 inch) I doubt they have that dead coyote stuff. I'd like to put some shells through that are not so pricey though. (that stuff must be made of gold!) In case you can't tell, I don't know anything about shotguns. I have never shot one other than my winchester defender, that always got the cheapest stuff I could find. (shoot dog poop in the desert) I have never been bird hunting or had to shop for shells. So this is new to me. (which I why I can't wait to shoot my first semi-auto shotgun!!!)

I use a turkey choke and #4 or #5 turkey load (because I've got like 4 boxes sitting at home), I've patterned my 870 with it and I know it will hit where I want at even 60 yards, as for it hitting a coyote, that hasn't happened yet.

NIIICE! As far as Dead Coyote, no one in town has it. I have checked. I'm thinkin a turkey load should do the trick though. Congrats!PS Be careful with that evil Stag.

Check out Cabela's for Dead Coyote and Rem Wingmaster HD T or BB shot. Very, very pricey stuff though. You might also want to check out some plain ol' #4 lead buck shot.

alot more punch in the dead coyote than the # 4 buckshot. I have a gate at my house to prove it. It went thru the 1" ply and thru the steel gate. the #4 buck shot barley went thru the ply. Very nice guns guys...

Sure is! If you get one of the extended chokes like the Patternmaster you have to pull the choke before it will fit in the case.nice! one hell of a case too.
