Whats the best time of year to start fishing the canals and such for catfish in the Central Valley?

right now should be a good time.I know when it warms up it gets better.

The hotter it is, the better the bite. I usually fish the Imperial Valley (HOT AS HELL) at night and do really good. Try Dynamite Stink Bait. They sell it at Wal Mart.Doug
