The smith I use told me it would cost $200 and he would have to send it to a machine shop.

C'mon John. Where's the sport in that? Anyone can shoot 'em but you gotta be a serious bad ass to grab hold of a yote and choke 'em out.Well, never choked a coyote but I've shot a bunch.

Great Heath!!! I think you will love it. All my friends swear by them. And they will refund if you are not happy. Quite an interesting choke . It slows the wad, alows the shot then to reform in the choke. NO shot string which is a real plus for the predator hunter. Most good bird shooters love them , lousy shots dont like them because they need a shot string. Thanks, I am going to pick one up next week.

Thanks SJ. Have they done any work for you? I think I'm going to call them tomarrow and send them my barrel within the week. This weekend I went to another shop in the area that has an inhouse "gunsmith" and he tried to tell me that they don't do it because every barrel that's fitted with choketubes is bulged at the muzzle to take the tubes and that my barrel would have to be expanded on a mandrel first. I tried to tell him that I have some shotguns that are bulged like he said but that most field remingtons just use a pretty heavy barrel contour (especially scince steel shot was made mandatory for waterfowl) and that they don't have the same bulged muzzle as my CZ or my Browning. So he tells me to go home and put a set of calipers on the muzzle of my 28" rem-choked barrel and then compare it to the muzzle of my 21" fixed IC barrel and I would definitley see a big difference in thier diameters. He was wrong! They are exactly the same, so my 21 incher just needs to be tapped and it's done. I am seriousley getting sick and tired of guys calling themselves gunsmiths because they bore sight a rifle or change out a set of stocks on a shotgun now and then! GEEZ!!!Try here they're reasonable and the turnaround is fast.http://www.americhoke.com/$85.00 per barrel (not including choke tubes)1 to 3 day turn around time.
