I want to add a mag extension to my 21" 870. I want it to hold as many shells as possible but I don't know if I need an 8 or 10 shot extension to keep it from sticking out past the muzzle. Does anybody have any info that will put me on the right track?
870 mag extensions?

Sharps, the rifle that made the west safe for Winchester!
Real tractors have two cylinders and hand clutches.
My rifle is mine, it isn't for sale, and I only give guns to people that I really like.

Thanks SJ. I didn't even think about those little dimples inside the mag that I'd have to cut out. I dont think I want the extra capacity that badly.

Don't forget to buy and install the brace that goes between the barrel and extension.
