Man Shot To Death On Coyote Hunt A man on a nighttime coyote hunt was shot and killed by another hunter in an apparent accident, authorities said.Trevor Ellerbrock, 27, of Van Wert, was in a field about 9:38 p.m. on Sunday, trying to attract coyotes by using a recording device that played squealing sounds of a rabbit, authorities said. Two other hunters in the same area -- Troy Clark, 36, of Van Wert and a 15-year-old boy -- mistook Ellerbrock for a coyote, according to the Van Wert County Sheriff's Office. One of the them fired a round and shot Ellerbrock in the midsection, the sheriff's office said.Ellerbrock later died at Van Wert County Hospital. Authorities have not identified the shooter. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the sheriff's office said Monday that the shooting remained under investigation.

Sounds more like murder to me than an accident,,Walt
I like beautiful women, fine wine and poking dead things with a stick!"If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That's ridiculous. If I have a gun, what in the hell do I have to be paranoid for."Socialism is not a Republic.

Wouldn't it seem odd that the "coyotes" body was up vertical instead of horizontal? I've never hunted with night vision before, but surely you can tell?

The shooter probably saw a pair of eyes... BANG. And then took off.

Makes you wonder ? and why was they hunting so close to someone ells thats calling ?
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

I read the article some where else. The shooter was using night vision... he had picked up the man he shot in his scope.

Wow. But with night vision? I could tell a man from a coyote back when I used one on my M-14. Starlight was kinda grainy but not that bad. Sure sounds fishy for a hunting story!
