went fishing for striper couple of weeks ago and it was a long cold day. Extra long cause I did not catch one fish! So we moved to a spot that was supposed to be real good, fished there for a while and nope nothing..... I am the one that when I see the captain start to close up shop I know I have about two or three more good casts left till the boat is moving and I have to have my a** is the seat. So here I am trying to pull this last few casts off. Lost of seaweed junk, casting in the same general area and "BAM" Fish on! I was not sure how big he was ... for a second I thought he was a monster then he seemed not to fight too bad then when he came up and flashed, it hit the fan! He weighed 11lbs. Kinda made the long cold day not hurt so bad!

Boy those striper's are great eating. That a nice fish.

Nothing like the taste of some good striper... And with a fish that size, you get quite a bit of meat out of them. They put up a real good fight too. Good job!

thank you all... well my next quest is to catch one on my fly rod I got for x-mas(quite the pleasant surprise).... I get made fun of cause I cast like a girl, wellllll last time I checked....??? :roflmao3[1]:

Well bullseye, sounds like you are probably busy taking furry things not fishing, hopefully anyway.I kind of let him go

I think the delta is nasty and have issues eating the fish from there. Not like I think I will light up or anything, just seen too much disgusting stuff float by. Just my personal quirk.

Stripers on the fly rod is real fun.

You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
