Howdy Campers! My buddy Jon and I are going to hit the Trinities for the closing weekend. We will be leaving Thursday night and hunting Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Jon has family that lives up in the area and they stated the rut is just starting. With luck the bucks will be stupid-city by the time we get there. If we go to our normal camp, I am going to still hunt a double saddle that is about 1.5 miles from camp . . . but about 1500 feet higher. It is a trudge and a half. I purchased some Doe urine and I am going to take some cotton balls and paperclips. I am going to place a doused cotton ball about 25 yards below the crest of the main saddle on either side of it and perhaps one up the other saddle I will be facing while still hunting. I have never tried the stuff, but what the heck eh?If it is no joy for the morning hunt, I am going to ridgeline it to above the main camp and come down through the ravine there. I know they bed there from time to time. Perhaps I can jump-one of ?em while bedded. We might try the meadows also . . . I dunno. The weather really hasn?t turned and as such, they are still pretty high up there still.Time to poke around my hunting/camping stuff and see what is what and where . . . :) Kevin G.

Good luck. I have seen more yotes than deer this year.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
