FOGGY MORNING COULD ONLY SEE ABOUT 25 YARDS OR SO. I FOUND A GOOD SPOT AND SET IN THE TRUCK (PRATICE ON THE CALLS) WAITING OUT THE HEAVY FOG. ABOUT 9:30AM THE FOG WAS STARTING TO LIFT AND I COULD SEE ABOUT 200 YARDS SO I TOOK OFF TO MY DESTINATION. THERE WAS A SLIGHT BREEZE FROM SOUTH TO NORTH WHICH WAS IN MY FACE HAD THAT ADVANTAGE. IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG AND I SEEN TWO YOTES COME RUNNING UP THE FIELD LINE. THE OLD HEART STARTED PUMPING ABOUT 100 YARDS OUT THEY CAME TO A STOP. I STARTED SQUEAKING WITH MY LIPS AND THE SMALLER DOG STOOD UP ON ITS HIND LEGS LOOKING. I WAS DEAD STILL WHAT WAS ABOUT 10 SECONDS SEEMED LIKE FOREVER I DIDN'T WANT TO GET BUSTED OUT. THE OTHER DOG WAS JUST LOOKING I DON'T KNOW IF THEY SEEN ME OR COULD SMELL ME BUT THEY KNEW SOMETHING WAS GOING ON STARTED WITH THE SQUEAKING AGAIN WITH MY LIPS AND THEY GOT TO ABOUT 75 YARDS AND THE ONE DOG STOOD UP ON ITS HIND LEGS AGAIN. RIGHT WHEN I WENT TO TAKE THE SHOT THE ONE DROPS ON ALL FOURS AND THEY TOOK OFF RUNNING I LEVELED OFF AND PUT THE CROSS HAIRS RIGHT ON THE TOP OF ITS HEAD AND LET'R RIP FOLDED THE FIRST ONE AT ABOUT 130 YARDS THE OTHER WAS ABOUT 200 NOW FULL BORE ACROSS THE FIELD DID THE SAME THING BUT DIDN'T LEAD HIM FAR ENOUGH BUT GOT ONE OUT OF TWO AND I WAS HAPPY ANY DAY IS A GOOD DAY IN THE FIELD BUT WHEN YOU GET ONE IT'S THE CHERRY ON TOP OF THE CAKE.

Nice going Coyoteslayer. I know how foggy it was, I was driving up I5 towards Redding. BAD Next time you should take a camera. We would love to see a pic or two. Did you save the hide or leave him for the buzzards, hide and all.

I like calling in the fog. It's usually pretty close shooting when they get to you and you see them...Walt

Thank you. Yes I did take some pic's on the digital camera but I can't figure out how to get them on the site any hints on how to go about that?

It is different for me to call down here in the valley with the fog this time of year. I'm used to hunting up in Alturas CA. they have fog but nothing like this place it is new but I'm up for the challenge. I will post some pic's of the coyote that I got today as soon as I can figure out how to put them on the site.

Thats a nice one  I love the fog.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
