Does anyone have an FFL or know someone who does? Or can anyone recommend a shop that won't charge me a bunch to have a custom rifle I'm having built shipped from CO.Thanks for any help.

Mike I use a guy in Milpitas to receive all my guns... he charges $60 for everything. Name is Rob Blank, knows his buisness too. Can PM the info if you like. He's right off the 680 freeway in Milpitas.

I have used Canyon Sports in Martinez, but they want $130.00 for transfers. I know there is a gun-rangs-shop off of Grant Line in Elk Grove, can't remember the name nor do I know how much they would charge. I also think Wild Sports does transfers also.

Good luck with the FFL Mike.. be careful, a few guys try to do a little scamming.. they tell you 40-50$ for the paperwork, But that they are required to get " Sales Tax" for the rifle, which is B.S. :smiley_kewlpics: I have bout 6 guns from out of state, and there IS NO law requiring sales Tax..... Grant.......

Yep...I've already had one place tell me that they would have to charge me sales tax but would do me a favor and only charge me tax on the action :roflmao3[1]:

TenPercent Firearms in Taft (I know, to far away) only charges $25 plus DROS for long gun transfers (He does collect the tax on whatever you tell him that you paid for the long gun)

BTW.The Calif Franchise tax board has told FFL's for an out of state transfer into CA they must collect and turn in the sales tax for the purchase. Those dealers that are collecting it are not ripping you off because they're not keeping that tax money, it is going to the State. The dealers that don't collect it haven't talked to the Tax board or haven't been audited yet.

Met with Bob Snellings this morning and filled out the paperwork. Bob from Ozark Guns sent an email for the UPS tracking. In 10 days I will be good to go. I saved over $100.00 by using Ozark Guns. I checked every local sop and nobody came close. Be sure to check Ozark out when searching prices.hdb

Good to know. Also, it looks like Bob's going to be getting a lot of business with all these referrals...he must be doing something right. :yikes[1]:

Hopefully will have my FFL March or April and I'll do free CPC transfers, etc. But as was stated dont let them collect the tax, they didnt sell you anything. Unless they can show you the COUNTY law that says so. No Cali law or Plumas Co. law that says you have to collect sales tax. Its an out of state order just like anything else.
