OK, I'm freakin' out! I was looking thru the waterfowl and upland bird hunting reg book and I saw that E-callers are illegal for use on migratory and resident game birds. There used to be a little blurb that disqualified american crows from this ban but I couldn't find one in this years regs. Am I going to have to leave the squak box home and go back to blowin' a mouth call or did I miss something.

I was reading this over at the DFG site:© No person shall kill or cripple a crow pursuant to this section without making a reasonable effort to retrieve the bird, and retain it in their actual custody at the place where taken or between that place and either: (1) their automobile or principal means of land transportation; or (2) their personal abode or temporary or transient place of lodging; or (3) a migratory bird preservation facility; or (4) a post office; or (5) a common carrier facility. Once I've retrieved the bird, is it legal for me to just leave the birds when I'm done for the day?

No you are supposed to take them and dispose of them. This year I've got to take some to the Post Office. They have trouble getting me my mail so it will be payback. :signlol2iu:

Thanks Wes. I want to give that "new" gun of mine a workout. I think I'll go over to either my sons place and hunt his and his neighbors walnut orchard, or my Mother-in-Laws place and hunt her walnut orchard.

Do you honestly think you'll have the will power to sit there and run a video camera while I'm smashin' crow after crow all by myself? :signs1180lq: Heck, after I shoot two squirrels you're wanting to move me off my shooting bench so you can get some shots off. :signlol2iu:
