Sent my GP-100 to Gemini Customs in KY 6 weeks later and $280 bucks they turned it into a smooth Rugar GP-100. Highly recommend them.

Excellent wheel gun and tough. What was done on the gun? I gathered lightening the double action pull. My buddy own one that where able to withstand the double dose of PB. We have to hammer out the case that welded on the cylinder though.

Oh no doubt its a tough handgun.I load hotties for it 99.9999999% of the time. www.geminiecustoms.com So they adjusted the trigger along with installing a new spring kit.Iredicated all "End Shake" re-crowned the muzzle chamfered the cylinders Bead blast entire gun However its not a python and no gunsmith can make one that way.

Gee I bet I'd be re-opening it if I asked you what you traded it for? Dang years ago I sold a AK-47 ( Legal one) weeks before the prices sky rocketed? I know the feeling.

What do you notice after you got it back is the trigger lighter is is a more smother pull?

Well they improved the Double action part of the trigger. Smoothed up the single action some what. I bet the best they could in view of the design. ( My Tuned S&W 25 is far far smoother) So is my Colt Anaconda. However its a significant improvement over what it was. Plus they re-crowned BBL Polished trigger,bead blast the entire gun.Some other stuff. .Its pretty good but miles away from a Colt Python.

I forgot that colt made a double action I noticed they cost more than a Ruger to. I see your a revolver fan what brand do you think makes the nicest revolver.

I've got two Colt Pythons and four Cougars those are Ruger's with Colt Python barrels on them. The one fault I have with the Pythons is the cylinder length. I have a really accurate .357 load for my Ruger's that physically won't fit in my Colt's cylinder. It sticks out the end of the cylinder of the Colt so the cylinder won't rotate. It fits my S&W's and Ruger's without problem. I think the Ruger's are great revolvers and can be smoothed up nicely. If I could only buy one revolver type it would be Smith & Wesson. But all of my handguns are 25 years old and older too.

Well that's a matter of opinion. My Colt Anaconda can take hot loads,my Smiths I'm warned are light framed hand guns.Repeated diet of hot stuff in them can tweak the frame or create "End Shake" My Ruger GP-100 is a super tough hand gun it just doesn't have a smooth action like the others. But I love them all. Shooter John I didn't know that about Pythons( Short cylinders) I think Colt Pythons are the standard for silky smooth actions.
