My son Scottie harvested his first two pheasant today. He got selected for the DFG Junior pheasant hunt at San Jacinto. It was a very special day for both of us. I have to say that Quail Unlimited and the DFG really made it a great experience. They provided separate fields, dogs and handlers, and guides for each junior hunter.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Hey that is great that you got your boy out hunting. It is so good for the youth to learn to hunt. It makes them realize where their food comes from, and a whole lot more about real life experiences. Not to mention the good times you and he will have in the coming years.PM sent.

Yeah it was great for both of us. You should have seen the look on his face when he shot that first bird!

Are you going on a DFG hunt? The DFG staff and ecspecially the Quail Unlimited volunteers really did a great job. They are true sportsmen in every way.Good luck!

There is nothing like seeing your kid harvest their first animal! Taking my daughter on her second Junior Pheasant hunt this coming Sat. She bagged 3 nice roosters last year. Memories in the making. Enjoy them.
