I applied for the Grizzly Island Pheasant opener (11/10) reservation but was not drawn. I'd still like to try, though, and was wondering if anyone has experience with just walking on for a hunt that they don't have reservations for. If the system is that you have no chance of getting to hunt for the day if you have not been selected for a reservation, I won't waste my time, but if there's a good opportunity later in the day or if you wait around for a bit, I would be willing to show up later and do an afternoon hunt. Does anyone know how this has been at Grizzly Island? Thanks.

There used to always be openings for walk on hunters. But that's been years ago since I hunted there. Hopefully someone that hunted there recently will jump in here.
