Nope, that just takes me to photobucket, the main page. Don't see any link to what you are talking about.

OK, got a picture of a guy with a deer. Is that all? Wasn't there something to do with deer attacking you? EDIT OK I went back to the other link and found the video. Cool. Now how about the story behind the video. Like where were you? Are the deer wild? etc. Need the story.

The deer are wild This is a first for me .I spotted one small fawn when I walked up to it 2 popped up came running to me then i heard a small cat crying and a third came out they sound like kittens. I felt so bad for them they were alone looked hungry they kept licking my fingers. That's me with the buck I was behind twain hart in the Stanislaus forest. I strongly feel the mother of them were poached I stayed with them for a hour and watched them never saw any doe's.Posted ImagePosted Image

Shoot-it,Very interesting. Four fawns, one with spots and some without. I think I saw spots on the one. Must have been more than one doe involved. And they came up to you! The fawns at our place have no inclination to associate with people other than to use the yard as a meadow area. Seems like someone had been feeding them. Undoubtedly a wonderful experience, but it is confusing to me.

Shoot ItIt could be due to the drought and food being in short supply. Several years ago we had two fawns come up to our cabin at Bass Lake and my kids fed them on the back porch. Mom stood off about 50 yards and watched but she didn't come near us. Finally she couldn't stand it anymore and called them back to her. I bet we were not the first to feed them either. It usually takes a while to build up that trust before a wild animal will eat out of your hand.My bet is that crew has come to the dinner bell before. Somebody has been feeding them and they have come to trust humans or they would never let you get that close, let alone touch them. I have deer in my yard all the time feeding in the Manzanita. They will tollerate me out on the deck watching them if I stay quiet, but if I start down the stairs they disappear like smoke. The only time I have ever seen a deer let a person get close enough to touch it is if it has been hand fed, like in a park, or if it was a foundling raised by humans. The deer at Wawona in Yosemite will let you hand feed them on the lawn at the hotel because those deer have lost their fear of humans due to having being hand fed for generations.I'm not saying it isn't possible, but it isn't likely that a truely wild deer would let you touch it without taking quite a while to develop the trust factor.Truckeedan
