Hello CPC folks,I towed 'Empty Pockets' home three weeks ago and took her out on the maiden voyage the next weekend! We splashed Empty Pockets at Moss Landing and headed towards the North West to an underwater Sea Mount known as ‘The Guide’. From the launch ramp to the center of The Guide is 77 miles one way. The Guide is closer from Half Moon Bay at 55 miles, but I chose not to deal with a BUNCH of folks trying to launch all at once.We launched at about 4:30 or so, got some bait and headed out the jaws. We stopped short of the center of the guide as we were getting bit. We were able to get a bait bite going at one point! We ended up with 9 nice Albacore and pointed the bow back towards port. All the troll hits came on Broomtail Zuc’s. It will take more practice and timing to figure out the live bait drill, but I think I can get a real good bait bite going with a 4-scoop capacity! We put on about 160 miles (or so) on the boat as well as 9 nice Alberts! Empty Pockets came through the shake down trip with flying colors. Weather permitting; I will be back out next weekend. Gotta get some more!Kevin G.First Red Deck!
