I have a D3 tag, but wont be out there on opening day. So leave one for me mac.
Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

Too bad CH, but looks like you've got plenty of hunting ahead of you anyways.Capitol, if I can...there'll be one left.

This big fire in Plumas sure might put a damper on my deer season.

Let's just hope they run a little Southwest of the fire...for my sake. And not North.

Just got home yesterday from my 114 day stint as a camp host and am packing up to leave tomorrow for the D4 zone. I will be up in Placer Co. on monumental ridge. Really don't care if I see any game as I just want to be able to relax after putting up with campers all summer long. I have come to the conclusion that there are campers out there that shouldn't be able to leave their houses.----Jim

LOL jim! yea, agree, I would even go to say the same about some hunters as well! Good luck in D4, I'm leaving Thurs afternoon heading up to D3 Nevada/County Placer area....should be a great opening weekend (cross-fingers) now that it's cooled off a bit. We saw 7 nice bucks & 5 bear opening weekend last year - minimal pressure where we hunt. Didn't get clear shots at the bucks, but did get a fine bear. I'll be carrying both a bear and deer tag...1st two days will be focused on deer - if I don't crack a shot off and drop a deer, then I'll put the pressure on a bear.
