In this picture my niece is standing in a hole that has been made by deer. We put mineral and salt in that spot and as it gets wet from the rain it leeches into the soil. Then the deer go after it by digging to get to that salt and mineral. Pretty cool!

wow...that's pretty incredible. I've also seen on the Outdoor Channel this product called C'Mere Deer that comes in powder form (or liquid concentrate) when placed on trees or stumps the deer will mulch it down...

I've seen some natural salt licks that were dug out pretty good but nothin like that crater.

Have a hole similar to that in the yard. The guy we bought from had a salt lick there and when the salt stopped they started eating the dirt. ;) Now I'm going to have to move some dirt to fill the hole. :roflmao3[1]:
