Well, I picked up my bear hide this weekend - I'll post pictures by tomorrow - turned out fantastic! The taxidermist rcv'd 25 bears this past season to do. Mine was the first off the line. He did an awesome job. The ruggers put a pad on the back and has some felt fringe around the hide...not too found of the felt, I may trim that back, but will wait to see how it looks. He had a black bear from Alaska in there when mine was picked up, he said easily my was 2/3rds larger than that one. I am really happy with it...I will maesure it out - nose to tail when I take the pictures. He also gave me the skull, so I will definitely try and get that cleaned out as well.

Right now, I have the hide draped across my wave runner in the garage...I should take a picture of that or leave the garage door open and watch people stop and "gasp" as they drive by :signs1180lq: ... will definitely have picture tonight/tomorrow!

Awesome news and I look forward to seeing it. You should lay at the front of your wave runner and rest the head on your chest. Any time someone goes by you can scream and flail !

Thanks SJ! Yea, I was pretty pleased with it. The taxidermist lives in Alta Sierra (Grass Valley) and did my brother's D3 zone buck....I don't have a pic of the head mount of that buck (4x5), but this was him in the field. Same place I shot my bear last year...I think there's great habitat in that area cause we've both brought out trophies...

Nice.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

300 win mag...~300-350yd shot at 1st light with 20mph cross-wind...my nephew who was with me looked at me after I shot and said "I can't believe you nailed him!"... of course, as his older, wiser and trusted sure shot uncle, I replied "did you expect anything less?" (deep inside I said to myself the same thing my nephew did  )
