January I'm hunting with "Larry Reimers Guide service" for pigs in Orland Ca. Has any one heard of this out fitter? Its costing $300.00 which in comparison is a great price.I've seen as high as $800.00. Last time I paid $400.00 and I didn't get to shoot'em, too close guide said walk up and stab him. That was a strange experience. Any body know of any near by motels with tennis courts, golf course airport,Harum of belly dancers? I'll be shooting my 270WSM with 160gr Noslers.I here a sow is better tasting is that true?

A big old boar will be tough as compared to a younger animal. If you're going after meat I'd recommend a young sow weighing 150 pounds or so on the hoof. As a kid on the farm we took the old animals to market to sell when they were no longer effective breeders and butchered a yearling instead. If you do get a big boar think "sausage".

Lots of sausage! :)

Ok I'll take it there are no motels with tennis courts. How about any motel of any kind? What is the best way to get there from Fairfield?
