Hello to all, I'm new to California in the Auburn area and am looking for information on public hunting land in this area. Any information from someone about hunting in the Tahoe forest area would be fantastic. I'm primarily looking for deer and bear areas. But I LOVE predator hunting as it definatly keeps your skill honed, and its just fun. Glad to find forums like this and any and all information is appreciated.NEhunter

Welcome to the CPC NEhunter! Hope to hear from you in the future! I'm not from that area so any info I would give you would be useless but I believe there are quite a few guys in this forum that are from that area so they could probably help you out. Hope you enjoy the forum!

any area in D3-5 has good hunting (given the right secret spots) especially along hwy 80 & 89...you just have to get off the beaten path and get well back into some remote areas. best is to hunt opening weekend and end of season when storms pull in (cold) and find good migration paths near Blue Canyon...that's about as much info I can give up
