Over at Calguns there is an FFL now selling Ar-15 stripped lowers. To make a long story short. A 10 round mag must be pinned into the lower receiver before you can legally assemble the rifle. Didn't Bushmaster just come out with a CA legal lower, too?

Bushmaster CA legal lowers have the mags pre-attached. This group buy was for real AR15 lowers just like the people in the United States can purchase.There are many many people buying these non listed AR type lowers now and the CA DOJ is moving to ban them too.

Its to late at this point to buy through the guy on Calguns. He sold all 110 lower receivers he had. They went for $145 each.The only way now is to find a mfg that will ship to your FFL Dealer and have him transfer the part to you.Its one of those things if you havent already DROSed these lowers your out of luck. The CADOJ has got wind of this and is updating there list of banned AR lowers by name.

Well, most people are buying the recievers in hopes of it being banned and being labeled an AW. When they are labeled as AW's, you must then register it as an AW and after that you can remove the (mag) pin and put every "evil" component on that sucker....Did you get one Mark?

It's very different then a Fab 10. The fab's mag well is welded shut. When you leave kali with a real AR lower you may un-pinn the mag and use all those 30 rounders you purchased before the ban.You have to pin the mag for now in California. When the FFL Dealer was selling these lowers at the SJ Gun Show a CADOJ Enforcement Officer showed up. He said these lowers are legal to sell, but they would be added to the banned AR-15 list within 2-4 weeks. When these lowers are banned they will be considered AW's and the mag can then be removed because after all they are now banned AW's.The trick here is to purchase and have transferred non-listed lowers with the intent on pinning the magazine. Its the same idea as kali legal FALS.

Steve, this is a slippery one..... Letters from the DOJ has stated the sale of un-named lower recievers to be legal for purchase. I'm not one to test the laws and opted to avoid this one. Though the seller has been consulting with lawyers and DOJ. It seems to be on the up and up, but as said, it is definately "slippery".

I received this exact letter from the DOJ yesterday. What this says is the Stag15 AR lower receiver will be listed and banned. When this happens a 90 day reg period may open. Once registered the gun will be a kali legal AW. I should note this is not my intended purpose though. I just want a 10 round semi auto hunting rifle

btw...she is hand signing these letter and I found that surprising. I sent two separate letters asking about different lowers. The signature is close but different on each response.

Well we got ahold of the guy today and he has 20 coming in. Unfortunately they all are spoken for.

Mark:I just read that Letter and I don't like that last paragraph.It leaves you out to dry if the DOJ Dorks come knocking.That letter will hold no water do to the last paragraph

There are thousands of these lowers coming into the state. If they are going to prosecute they better take out a big loan to pay for all of the court time!!

What I've read is the 58 DA's paragraph is an empty threat. The court doesn't have the auhority to declare a unlisted stripped receiver an AW? Per kali laws a non-listed, stripped lower isn't an AW. That letter also states these lowers are legal.

The sunmabeaches!!! I felt that last statement was just thrown in there to "scare us" into not buying it. Has anyone seen any comments on this subject out of the NRA?

I honestly dont know. I do know they are fighting the gun ban in the person of alternative lifestyle bay.
