So my stinkin' brother went turkey hunting this morning and filled his second MO tag. This guy was shot around 8 AM and has a double beard.

I bet that makes you home sick. Or at least tired of your brother getting them all. :)

Multiple beards are not as rare as you might think. According to NWTF biologists, nearly 10 percent of gobblers have multiple beards. In a given area, the occurrence of multiple beards may be higher as the genetic trait is passed along by a dominant, multi-bearded gobbler.

It was nice being able to walk from the house to where I was going to hunt. Both of his tags are filled, so he's done until bow season opens this fall. :)

It won't be that long before you're back there and then you'll wish you were out here hunting dogs. :signs1180lq:
