So, you would mix lead with the depleted uranium for a double dose of haz mat??So its Led free for me, until they produce depleted uranium bullets in .308/180's

A box of 50, 30 caliber TSX runs about $32 while a box of 100 Hornady bullets is about $20.Practice becomes more expensiveAs it stands now, I have been using factory loaded Federal Premium 30/06 in 180 grain. It performs well on paper and on game. I believe the bullet they use is a Nosler partition, maybe. Now that I have consumed all but the last box I purchased, I plan on reloading. With the talk against led, the environment, global warming, Hillary running for president etc, I believe I will go with the Barnes Triple Shock X bullets. As long as I can work up a good load with TSX's I can't see any reason to load a led core bullet. Sooner or later for what ever reason they are finding ways to phase out led. First waterfowl, then indoor ranges then the Condor nesting areas and now possibly any where a Condor has cast its shadow. It's never going to end because it's just another form of gun control, no place to shoot= no need for a gun. So its Led free for me, until they produce depleted uranium bullets in .308/180's

Agreed. But once I work up the load, sight in and practice I won't need more than two boxes. How many /06 rounds will I need for the rest of my life Deer hunting, 50 maybe? Wild Bore, 20? For $12 I'll just go with my gut feeling that lead will be dead in the future. All newly developed military rounds are "green" what does that indicate? Hey, I could be wrong but led free is what I plan on loading, it's just my opinion, no big deal.A box of 50, 30 caliber TSX runs about $32 while a box of 100 Hornady bullets is about $20.Practice becomes more expensive

Real tractors have two cylinders and hand clutches.
My rifle is mine, it isn't for sale, and I only give guns to people that I really like.

Interesting, do you intend to use them on big game? I have not read any data on Berger's as far as terminal performance was concerned. How do they perform? I do use Berger's in my 22-250 and love them. I was under the impression the he just made match bullets and a few varmint match bullets.I just picked up some Berger 168 grain Match VLD's to try in my 300 WSM.
