How many of you all use your Harris bipod up front all the time? Or do you take the bipod off and use a benchrest sometimes, all the time, etc?I have the Harris bipod on my rifle and I'm looking for a nice rear rest. I seem to like the bipod, but I mostly only see benchrests and a whole unit. I'm not sure if a proper rifle benchrest would be a better choice?

Use my Harris bipod all the time, even on a bench rest. I do have a seperate one that I use on the benchrest since my field one is so much longer. Train how you will do things in the field then you "aim small, miss small."Darren

I had a couple of Harris bi-pods that I've sold because they were a pain in the butt to hunt with and carry around. The one you need to sit with which is how I hunt is too tall for any bench shooting. The one you can use on the bench is to short to sit with. I use the Stoney point bi-pod because it's adjustable from sitting to standing which you need if you hunt any at night.http://stoneypoint.s...lbipverhun.htmlFor bench shooting I use either bags.Or I a target rest.Nothing is perfect for every circumstance. But these fit the bill for me. I use the bags from a table or similar surface when shooting squirrels like this setup.

It's pretty hard to beat a bench that drives you around!

I would love to incorporate the bench I'm working on building into my golf cart! That would be most excellent!

Sheldon I'm sure you could by mounting it somewhere in the back. But if you do make sure you don't use it anywhere where there is public access to the land you are hunting on. If there is public access then it's illegal to shot from a vehicle.

I probably could mount it in the back. I'm thinking I can built a separate one that will bolt onto the roof support legs and shoot straight out the front like you in that jeep, but again the problem is pivoting around. Hrmmm - the wheels are turning upstairs again. Sheesh, I hate it when I start thinking of something else when I haven't even completed another!
