Had my first chance to use the new Dead Coyote load for my 870 express mag. Went out Sunday and called in 4 coyotes. I got shots at 2 of them. One at 50 paces the other shot I am not sure about because it was across a ditch. The Dead Coyote load dropped them in their tracks, like they were hit with a 300 mag. I was using a Hastings ported 660 choke. I am real anxious to see if the #4 buckshot works as well.

I did a test with number 4 buckshot and dead coyote. D.C @65 yards went through 1" plywood and my "lifetime " gate.Number 4 barely made it through the plywood with a lousy pattern. Both were 3 1/2 s.

This was one of the nicer yotes I have taken on base here. I was walking down a dirt road came around the corner and saw 3 yotes in a field about 500 yards away. So I got down low and closed the distance to about 300 yards. Put out my decoy and got in the prone let out a few pup squeals. They started my way. The bigger one of the group headed away and stayed out about 300yards. The other two got about 45-50yards from me and started to bark. So I hit the closest one in the chest. The other one got away missed it. The fur came out nice I keep the skulls as well. I don't know what it ate but it had this almost neon green stuff comming out of both ends. Maybe catus?
