Just got this Benelli shotgun and want to shorten the synthectic stock. Any body done that ? the butt pad is held on by a lip molded on the inside of the stock. If you shorten the stock the lip will be gone and it might not hold the pad on if it was pulled on or scrubbed against something. Any body seen this problem? Thanks EH..

Screws I believe. I'm pretty sure you cut the stock and then attach the plate with probably screws and glue then you can attach a recoil pad to it. At least I assume thats how it works.

Thanks john, i shortened the stock about 5/8 " and glued the old retainer flange inside the stock. Old butt pad fits fine with a little ground off the tip. My friend has the porting jig and now is porting the barrel for me . Should be good to go..
