Just got back from a Mexico Dove shoot. These Doves are smarter than any I've shot at before, even with camo on and hidden behind a bush they would flare like teal at any movement or sound. We had a great time at a beautiful lodge about 150 miles south of Brownsville, Tx. Had never been to this part of Mexico which was on the Gulf side. Except for having Air Worst who merged with US Airways cancel one of the flights on us each way it was a fun time.

Sorry to hear that the airlines are struggling with their flights. :P As for the doves....any results, photos, etc? How many rounds did you go through? S&S

Sounds fun . PICTURES we need pictures
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Sorry no pics, didn't even take a camera. I'm going to Argentina in May and I'll go get a camera to take. We did not do that great due to 2 1/2" of rain just before we got there, which is about the average total rainfall for the year. The roads were so bad that we couldn't get to the areas very well. The quail hunters were having the same problem. I think I only shot about 14 boxes of shells in 2 days and many of those were taken at birds that were way too far away. Had fun and met some great guys from other parts of the country.

We've been using Gage for many years going to Santiago del Estera area. I've never seen them collect all the doves and pile them up for a photo op. When the shoot is over we head out for lunch or dinner and let the bird boys collect and put the birds (usually about 4-5000 per shoot) in barrels or bags? The days are so full that the time it would take to roundup our group of 12 (it's like herding cats) for pics just doesn't ever happen. I guess I could take some pics of the sky filled with dove?

That sounds like lots of fun. I was talkin to the guy from Argentina at the ISE Show in Sac this year sounded like a fun trip. Are you gonna do a duck dove combo or just dove? I would love to get a nice Magellan Goose or a Silver Teal. Anyhow good luck. Bryan

Thanks SJ I could have never done it without ya. Already booked another trip to this lodge for a white wing hunt, and SJ there's room for more, all you got to do is get your short arms down into those deep pockets. <_<

Thanks but my arms aren't that short. It must be the deep pockets. <_<
