I read about it in the latest issue of Varmint Hunter magazine.Case is a 6x47 SM necked down to .20 cal.50 gr Berger bullet37 gr of Reloader 15Federal 210 primersaverage velocity is around 4018 fps.25" group at 100 yds29" barrelThe 50 gr Berger @ 4100 fps totally penetrated a 3/8" steel silhouette target at 300 yards.

To much powder. It seems like a waste for just 4000+ FPS. I'd expect light speed at least.

I load more than 37 grains for my 22-250

It is a 50 grain 20 cal bullet though. 204's are only pushing 32 grains to 4000. All the 204's that are shooting 50 grain Berger's are only getting 3000-3300.To much powder. It seems like a waste for just 4000+ FPS. I'd expect light speed at least.

I understand that but I guess if I though I needed to shoot a 50gr. from a .20 caliber I'd just step up to a larger cartridge. I didn't mean anything negative but It just seems like a lot of powder.It is a 50 grain 20 cal bullet though. 204's are only pushing 32 grains to 4000.

it's these weird people that have nothing better to do than concoct weird new cartridges that try to defy the laws of firearm projectiles I guess.

What I got out of the article was that he's trying to make an ultra long range 20. He put a 8 1/2 twist pac-nor barrel on it and the 50 gr. 20 cal bullet has a much higher B.C. than the 22's. There is also mention of more really high B.C. 20 cal. bullets in the works. He says he was getting consistant 1" groups at 300 yds.
