I went out north east of Barstow early this morning. My first set up was up high on one of the numerous rocky hills out there. I didn't call in anything. My second set up was on a high ride line overlooking a dry creek wash. The wind was blowing at around 900 miles an hour from the south west! I had my new Mo-Jo Critter and e-caller out about 40 yards. I started the e-caller and had it turned up to 4 when out of the corner of my eye I saw movement, running movement. I turned slightly to my right but lost sight of it. I looked back towards the Mo-Jo Critter and within 10 feet was a kit fox! I got the biggest kick out of watching him for a few minutes. I reached for my Flip video camera and he saw me and darted off to the east and stopped at about 75 yards. He just watched me while I watched him. I did get it on video but the Flip doesn't do distance worth a damn so it hard to make out. So, no use in even posting it :(

The next three stands were a great big bust but that second stand made the day all worth it! Did I say the wind was blowing 9 million miles an hour!

But I had so much fun!
Now, don't try to get away! I am more muscular, more cunning, faster, and larger than you are, and I am a genius. Why you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten.

Good for you,
I should have gone with you instead of watching the Rams vs 49ers.
Exciting game, but the wrong outcome.

Foxes are fun to see. Too cute to shoot. :good:
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Oh my! I think all kit fox have some kind of radio chip implanted in them so if they get shot the animal rights whackoes swoop in on you and put you in prison for life! :sport037fn4:

Fox can be a hoot to watch. They seem to dart around and often when using a mouth call one will race right up to you surprising you.

Time waits for no one--
treasure every moment you have.

John, this guy was a blast to watch. When I first saw him I only saw a dart behind a bush and wasn't too sure what I had. Once I figured it out to be a kit fox I got a huge kick out of watching him. I only wish my Flip was able to zoom in further and get better video of him. I'll be looking to fix that issue soon!
