Cottontail, now we're talkin'! Nice going. I was beginning to think I was the only one who hunts on Thanksgiving. Can't wait until Christmas, I always hunt on Christmas, you get the whole world to yourself that day!
Yep Bisley, I try to get out now on most every holiday where others are typically home so that if there are any others out, it isn't going to be many. There is something about just being out there, listening to the sounds, looking at the different plant life and animals that inhabit any particular local, out there with your thoughts... it is very relaxing.
I know I'll be out on X-mas day for sure. I may even take my daughter. I bought a couple of hand calls and she wants to learn to call in the coyotes or bobcats so we can tan a few hides/pelts. My wife says it might be good for her to learn to do that since it will give her something to do and occupy her while out hunting if I decide to take her with me. I think she is right . I'm thinking of getting a .223 so I can do some predator hunting since I have a bobcat tag. I'm sure that will go over great with the wife.
