I've had some issues signing in the last 2 years and with alot of help and some luck shooter john has got me back in the fold. Thanks again john i sorely missed being part of the best site on the web hands down. Much to my surprize theres a fishing section now . So i would like to give you guys a small taste of what we have on the right side , better known as the striper coast. With the season winding down and great weather the day after thanksgiving my friend and another buddy set sail for some tog {aka blackfish} .We hit the LI sound at 8am and made our way 7 miles out to a section loaded with rocks wrecks and structure . After about 1 hour we had one 16" keeper in the boat but action was slow ,about 2 hours later we headed back to some other wreaks about a mile from home . The fish where there and they where hooking shorts that where keepers last year 14" fish. About 8 total . I was getting strikes but had no hook ups until this nice size tog grabbed my asian crab for dinner , after a fun fight on my noodle rod i boated a 20" 6# + tautog . 3 keepers one each where landed and we went home happy all fillets where fried and enjoyed and today me and my surfer buddies will have tog chowder and beers for football made from the racks and heads here's my fish and pic of the light house at the offshore reef .
