I was able to make a few stands this morning. I didnt shoot a coyote today but it was still a good day all around! My first stand was a bust. I sat down, got situated and waited a couple mins before starting off with DSG cottontail on vol. 6. 30 seconds in and i get barked at from 300+ yards out. I called for about 5 minutes and packed up. My second stand is this picture. I had one coming down the fence line that winded me at about 150 yards, right at the creek. He turned and bolted up the creek bed to the right before I had a chance to shoot. I was planning on stopping it just my side of the creek. Oh well, the view was worth the stand alone!

My next stand I had one hang up in the middle of some cattle 300+ yards away. No shot, I'll get it another day. Watching the coyote mouse after 15 minutes...

On the way back to the car I jumped one down below me. It hit another creek bottom and was outta sight before I get get on it.

Good day still just getting out!

Happy Hunting

Sure beats my day today... And you had some action to boot, which always makes it better (than nothing responding).

Sounds like a good time. :good:
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
