Frank if you get to liking that black gun and want to get rid of your Remmys, I know a fellow who might take them off your hands lol. Ed

LOL... Yeah, Ed, I'll bet you do too... What's that saying? Something about "taking them from my cold, dead hands"? At least as long as I still have a few of my marbles left anyhow. :P

Hitting 500 yard targets bare sight, this rifle is easily a necessity in case of a zombie apocalypse.

What about the guys shooting 1,000 plus yards with open sites (and hitting a L O T harder) with their 45-70 leverguns? :P :pot:

I built a similar rifle. Fixed butt stock, and bushy upper with a 20'' fluted bull barrel. Still a little heavy. I'm considering adding a carbon fiber handguard to reduce the weight a bit. I'm able to get sub moa at 100 yds with several types of factory ammo. Real fun gun to shoot.

Thanks, Racin... After buying this AR, that I thought I never would, I guess anything (hvy bullets) is possible, eh? LOL

NaCladdict, I believe this AR will be a lot of fun indeed. I just put the scope on it & bore sighted it, cleaned it, and am ready for the range this coming Monday. Right now I am lusting  all over it. A little lighter than my Rem 700 varmint models, extremely well balanced and just a joy to handle and carry. I'll post a report, good or bad on how it does with "factory" (only) ammo at this point.

I just HAD to mess with it a little though, by putting a $200+ Timney trigger in it. And it did make a huge difference. Funny too, as this particular AR is supposedly one of Colt's target style rifles. The original trigger wasn't bad, like some AR's, but did have too much creep in it for my liking.

Range report Monday PM... Hopefully! ;)

I have a Geiselle in mine, worth every penny! Clean, crisp, and light. I agree with you on the stock Colt match triggers.
