Nope..... and yes, they are out before and after dark, and all other hours.

Most (but not all) of my calling is in the early A.M. (daylight) & during the day, & do not call as often near or after sundown. And of course my PM dog calling results will thus be substantially lower. This may (or may not) be the same for you?!

Hang in there!!!

When distress rabbit sounds don't work....

Also, vocal sounds will work any time of the year... Coyotes howl all the time in other words... they cannot help themselves.

The last stand of the day, dusk calling, is usually the best time to call for me. As been mentioned here, they are moving most times of the day this time of year. Keep at it.

For me dusk is better. This time of year distress, no coyote vocals. End of january start howling for a mate. You got to have a coyote to call..

Yep, just because they were there inn the morning doesn't mean they will be there in the evening. They do move around, a bunch.

Ive never had much luck at dusk either. I call in most in the middle of the night. They feel safer when its dark. Early morning is generally good as well up until around 1000am. I use vocals this time of year but only after distress calls are non productive. Mainly just to see if theres a dog there!
