I like to hunt in a light rain for any thing. Less people out to screw things up. Coyote's eat on rainy days just like every thing else. I am not tuff enough to hunt in a down pour. But yes they are out and can be called. Here is a picture of one called in and killed right at dark.

I don't mind calling in a light rain, but I think the best is after a couple 2 or 3 day storm. I do worry about my caller in the rain and make sure its covered for the most part. I think coyotes pour out hungry as heck after a multi dayer... Speaking of which Sunday may be awesome with the pattern we are looking at here in sac.

I light rain will help keep your scent down also. I light rain, yes I like that hunt. A down pour, nope, no thank you!

One of the best times to go.

I have never had luck in the rain, but it appears that it can sometimes be worthwhile? If you have willing ears.. you may have success.

Lif2fish, use Vicks Vapor in your nose. I use it on horses when I pack game on them. They don't smell anything. Ed

Vick's works great. I've used it on a couple of dead body calls and we used it when we showed horses. A stud at a horse show is bad ju-ju!

light rain or down pour I have seen them moving and called them in. Sometimes you have that itch and rain or shine it needs to be scratched.
