Well, scoped out some public land last weekend and saw a flock of about 28 hens and 6 jake and 5 toms... Guess it will be a fun saturday morning!! Watched them walk back to their roost, so I think Ill set up a half mile off and sit in there feeding ground.. Bow Only!!!!! Gobble Gobble, Fresh turkey for thanksgiving! Anyone else going to be down in San Diego this weekend? Also going to hit up quail and dove at night, maybe some squirrel is I have time!!! see ya out there, be safe and remeber "I SAW IT FIRST"!! LOL

Why set up so far? If you can set up way closer ,of course if terrian allows for a closer set up. If I were you I'd try to set up right under their tree. Oh wait I just remembered that you bow hunt. Good luck and Im sure we'll be seeing some pictures from you!

Yeah, you dont want to set under the roost, makes for a bad day. Trust me ive done it before. live and learn.. its rough hunting public.. I love dove hunting and quail hunting around 3-430

poop Bowlfrogg i would love to roll with you, but iam heading up to fort hunter liggett this weekend to try and double down with pig and turkeey in one weekend. Gettign both is a long shot but hell iam up for it. If i dont bag a turkey i will head out to public land during the week and hopefully bag one.

Good luck and have fun. It was a toss up for me to hunt turkey, or go to my stomping grounds and hunt coyotes, dove, and quail. In the end, I decided to just buy a turkey at the store...
