Some notes: I have known a bobcat has been working this area as I see bird feathers strewn all around. The two I recognize are hawk and quail feathers.
I think he was hunting quail, as they were alongside the trail.
This is my first bobcat, kind of wished I called him in; however, this will more than do.

I have run into 2 cats by chance like that, they were both in places I could not shoot them. One was while pig hunting on Tejon and the other was at Camp Cady while Looking for Doves

Also, since my deer zone is D-15 I might have better luck walking into another bobcat than finding a deer. I managed to pull one deer out last year, this year I have not seen one buck just does.

Thanks to the great state of California for making our life so easy
I know I don't have to use them; however, I do hunt D13 on my D15 tag once in a while. To make my life easier, all my deer rounds are Lead-Free.
