Anyone know of a spot close to the central valley that holds chukars? I've never hunted them before and want to give it a try. I can trade turkey spots for chukar spots, if you like.

In the central valley there is only one place for chukar hunting.....Ace-Hi Adventures, a hunt farm.

In the mountains and hills between the valley and the coast they can be found. Also the eastern Sierra holds them. Finding them will be hit or miss this year due to lack of last winter and spring rains.

I went to the Carizzo Plain NM three times last season and never saw one chukar in areas I had seen many before. I expect no better this year.
It's not about how many, it's about how.
Life is too short to hunt with an ugly dog or gun

Maintain a balance of nature, use a beautiful gun when shooting a beautiful bird
