Hi,

My opener was today, and I limited out at F1. F1!!! It was the second to last blind left for the sweatline. I shot 5 of 7 right after first shoot, and the #7 just after 1230pm. There are a lot of mallards out there. Now I know for next week. Long story short, I ended up with 2 mallard hens, 4 cinnamon teal, 1 spoonie hen. Also, 4 coots that I waxed as they landed into my spread at first light. The mallard drakes really started to show up near F1 right as I was packing up and leaving out. It was torture watching all the ducks fly over, and not be able to do a darn thing about it...

I got there around 2am. Only about half the reservations showed. They do a lottery for every one there that didn't have a reservation for the remaining blinds, so don't not go just because you don't have a reservation. Eventually one will make it out to a blind. I had a blast out there. I still can't believe how many ducks are out there.

Good job fishandhunt4ver! Nice limit! Tom mentioned that the average was 4.5 birds per hunter on the opener. I am heading out to Wister this Wednesday (12/12) since I have a reservation. We'll see how that goes . . .

Regarding SJ it was slow for my brother this past Saturday.
